Bacterial Vaginosis is a most common vaginal infection which can affect women of child bearing age (14 to 44 years). This infection tends to have embarrassing symptoms such as bad smelling vaginal discharge; especially after intercourse, itching and irritation in the vaginal area. It’s better to be treated on time, that to delay it can undergo complicated surgeries, which can be very well avoided.

What will the doctor give you?

Bacterial Vaginosis usually can be treated with oral medication such as a pill which needs to be taken for 7 days consecutively. However, treatment of BV can also include topical medication which includes creams or gels that are applied in the vagina. These medications can be effective for some women and are often give to pregnant women infected with BV.

It is quite natural for women to be embarrassed abut Bacterial Vaginosis; especially when they want to get intimate with their partners. The solution lies in getting it diagnosed and treated s soon as possible.
